So here I am, a Full Fledged toddler at 16 months. Life is good. I play a lot and run around. I love to look at books and take a bath, or as mom calls it "swim swim". I blow kisses when you say "I love you" and give kisses with a big exaggerated mmmwwwaaaahhh! Besides mama and dada I can say "Hi!". I love when people clap and get me to clap. When I got my new Pats hat, (see above) I was just so excited, as you can see! Check out the curls, I know you dig them.

School Pictures

We got Connor's school pictures back and they are great. He looks like such a little man. I have one hanging over my desk and I look at it constantly. People walking by must think I am just staring into space but I am not I am looking at a face that reminds me when things get tough here at work that I have the most wonderful thing waiting for me to be picked up and brought home. Home to my real life. We wait for Dad to come walking in the door and smile. It is so hard not to come home and not have a huge smile on your face when you see Connor. The school picture is that exact smile, they captured it and it makes me smile all day. I love it! This is Connor and MeMe right after the photo shoot at school.

Salem, MA

I promised I'd post a few pictures from our evening in Salem, Ma. We had a great time. It is so much fun there in October. All the freaks come out! We loved it. We think Connor had a great time too. A man in the restaurant we had dinner in started taking pictures of Jeff and Connor because they looked so cute together, naturally I agreed. These aren't the pictures he took but here are some i did of my boys.

Doctor said I look good

So the Doctor said Connor's ears look excellent and his hearing is perfect. Jeff took him this morning and I was very pleased to know we did the right thing and it was a success!
Boy did I have a week to remember. The day after Connor had the surgery Jeff (who had be complaining of stomach pain for a few days) called me at home to let me know he was indeed driving himself to the nearest emergency room per the doctors order! They suspected that he had an Appendicitis. After a series of tests, a very long wait in the emergency room, Jeff called me again at home to say that he would be having surgery. Thankfully my mother had come into town to help me with the baby post-op so I was able to leave and be by Jeff's side. He finally went into surgery around 9:30pm and was out around 11:45pm. I slept in a chair by his bed. He had never had any surgery before so it was a bit surreal for him so being there is the only place I wanted to be. so both my boys had surgery a day apart, whew what a ride that was. He seems to be on the fast track to recovery. He had to stay out of work for about a week, very strange for him and me. I've had to be super mom for a few weeks now since he was unable to lift him, etc. Abdominal surgery is tough, I know! I have also accepted the fact that I married Jeff with an appendix and now he no longer has one, I guess I'll survive too. hee hee

Surprise

So Jeff and I decided to fly to Indiana over Columbus Day weekend and surprise Grandma! We arrived in Indy around 8:30pm, Grandpa picked us all up at the airport and by 9pm we had Connor sitting in his seat on the front porch. Jeff rang the bell and we all hid. She was so surprised to see us and it was even more fun to do. She loved showing Connor off to neighbors and co-workers. Connor had a blast and had a nice big house to explore and hang out in.

Indiana weather was unbelievable, hitting the mid 80s! Jeff and I were able to go out for a nice dinner alone at his favorite place in the US, which is vastly becoming mine... St. Elmo's in Indianapolis. A delicious steak house! We ate and split a bottle of wine, it was a nice night out for the new parents and G&G got their alone time with the superstar, baby Connor.

Speaking of superstars it has been an amazing ride with Connor thus far. He is such a character and is doing something new every day. It really keeps us on our toes. He stands in his crib and it is so funny to come in the morning and see him standing there with a look that says "Look what I did!" He has seven teeth, which amazes me. He likes to eat, but doesn't love it. He is finding out what he likes and doesn't like when it comes to solids, but not to worry I strongly believe every one makes their own way in life and he'll eat more than just cheerios and mushy food soon enough!

He is about a month away from turning one and every time i think about it I get emotional. I often go back to my snapfish account and look at all the pictures of the night I had Connor. The overwhelming feelings of joy, shock and how totally scared I/ we were. I truly thought something was wrong and that feeling never went away until we brought him home finally. I look at those pictures and I can see him so much clearer. Thankfully he no longer look like a moncheche or Jack Nickelson but he is there and it is amazing to me. I sent this picture of me to Jeff yesterday. It was taken almost a year ago today and I was thinking how crazy and unbelievably wonderful my life has become. I look at Connor and I just know exactly where and who I am supposed to be now. And thanks to Jeff, my love because you and me, we make really gorgeous babies! See attached Pix!

October

So here we are in October now and Connor is 11 months old. Boy the time has flown by!

We found out that he will need to get tubes in his ears in a few weeks. Repeat ear infections, we've had enough, no more! So we will be going to the experts at Mass Eye and Ear to have the procedure done.

Dad celebrated his birthday last night and Connor wrote on a card for him. Dad is 33!

Connor now has 7 teeth, amazing. He also crawls like crazy and pulls himself up. We've found him standing in his crib a few times. He is a happy little guy and we are just having a blast with him. He loves to babble and says MAMA and DADA.

Wait until you see his Halloween costume, boy is he going to look cute!
Here he is after tasting a little pastry from his great grandma!
I'll add some pictures of our day in Salem, MA last Sat, that was a lot of fun. All the Halloween people were out in full force.... thankfully he is too little to be scared by the costumes.

DaDa. The bib says it all!

It's official, Connor loves to gab and he did say Dada this morning. Dad was very pleased and I was happy but had wanted so badly to hear mama. I mean what mom doesn't! The girls at his school says he has been very chatty lately and I'm pretty sure he gets that from his dad.

He is rolling around like crazy and can no longer be left for even a second alone. We like to keep him on the bed in the morning so we can play with him while we get ready and long gone are the days propped up in the boppy where you'd step out for a moment and come right back to him in the same position. Now it is one end of the bed to the other and if you leave anything on the bed, he'll grab it no matter what!

He goes back to the doctor this afternoon and hopefully they'll say the bronchitis is gone!
Next weekend is our party and we're looking forward to seeing everyone. Connor will have a few plays dates!

Mom here!

Well I thought since it has been awhile since Connor was able to get to a computer, I'd chime in while at work and let you all know how he is doing. I'm going to write my train of thoughts in no particular order, just updates as I think of them.

First I can't believe he is almost 9 months! Yikes it has flown by.

Connor has had 2 bottom teeth now for quite some time and we loving call him " two teeth McGee" He is showing no signs of getting any other teeth at this point. He loves to roll over, prop up on his legs, but has not moved too far as of yet. I see things happening and have an idea we will be baby proofing the house soon. He loves to gab and has quite a bit to say. He mimics your mouth movements and gets excited when you gab at him. He smiles all the time and now notices Skyler and watches her around the room. He loves to stand while assisted and it makes him happy to do so. He eats just about anything except carrots and he got that from his Dad.

Despite a few ear infections and bronchitis this week, (late July-Aug) he has been about as happy as a baby can be. A few friends remarked that you'd never even know he was sick. That's my boy!

Our trip to San Diego in June for Father's Day and our anniversary was a huge success in terms of traveling with a 7 month old. He was a parent's dream on all 4 flights. I wouldn't hesitate to do it again. I was there for a conference and work with my brother's girlfriend Rachel so she and my brother went as well. They baby-sat the night of our anniversary so Dad and Mom could go out for dinner. We took Connor to the San Diego Zoo for father's day and I surprised Jeff with Connor's shirt. He loved it!

This summer we have taken him to Newburyport with his grandpa and to Martha's Vineyard on the ferry for the day to see a friend of ours. He has been so easy to travel with and is always up for a new adventure with mom and dad. In 2 weeks we are having a summer BBQ party and the week after that off to NY to see MeMe, Aunt Danielle, Uncle Scottie, Cameron, Ashton, and Maddie. We are going to the Saratoga Race Track for a nice picnic and going to see the horses.
I'll post more soon.
Love Mom.

Getting to work

Well, well - who's this pretty lady holding me!

I finally got to meet my Great Gramma Louise! Forgive the rather, um, intense face I'm making in this photo, I was thinking about...something.

Anyway, I have been a busy boy. Long days at school charming the ladies, painting with my feet and get this, cutting a couple teeth!
I've also been working on rolling over here and there, meaning Mom and Dad cannot take their eyes of me ever - I am almost mobile!
Let's see, what else, what else -I competed in my first 5k, everything was going fine until Dad almost wiped us out trying to sprint across the finish line and I'm getting ready for my first plane ride in a week or so!
Otherwise, I'm going to get to see a lot of you in the next couple weeks and I'm really looking forward to it - that will be obvious when I give you one of my 600 megawatt semi toothless smiles.
Ok, gotta run, I feel compelled to stick my fingers in mouth which makes typing difficult.
Sidebar: Think I should call Hillary Clinton to ask if she wants to pick up a couple hours of babysitting work - she needs a job, and the cash!

Long time no speak...

Hi folks,
Sorry I haven't posted anything recently, I have many, many things to update you all on, but I'll save that for another day.

I'd like to dedicate this post to my Great Grampa Leo.
Unfortunately, we never had a chance to meet, but I know how much he loved my blog so this one's for you, Grampa.
Dad's been telling me lots of stories about you, we talk a lot about the example you set and how we both (me and Dad) have a lot to live up to.
Thank you for setting the bar so high.
Anyway, I'm sure where you are now you aren't having as many problems with your internet provider so I promise, I'll keep posting for you.

We miss you.

Love, Connor

Ohhh, Iiii, Iiii, I pooped myself...

Hi All,
Sorry I haven't posted anything recently - you'll have to forgive me, I've been busy growing, keeping my Mom and Dad up and perfecting the art of being cute.
So, everyone wants to know, "Connor, what's up?"
Well, I've put on almost 3 pounds, grown a couple inches and had a bit of a difficult episode.
Wasn't feeling to well after the New Year (couple to many bottles New Year's Eve I think) and it kinda got worse after a couple days.
Ended up spending a couple days at Children's Hospital with a respitory infection and a wee bit of pneumonia. I rested for a couple days before I could go home but I'm feeling much better now.
I got to hang out with my Grampa who came down from Canada and now my Gramma is here again and we're having a ton of fun.
Anyhoo...hope to see more of you soon. I'll try and post more.

Love,
Connor

Settling in...

Hello,
Sorry I haven't posted anything recently - as you can see I'm still adjusting to my new living situation.
I will say so far so good however. Spending alot of QT with Mom which is great and I'm getting to meet some of Mom and Dad's friends and my family.
I'm feeling very hungry lately and I'm starting to fill in some of this extra skin...Mom tells me the more weight I gain the more I start to look like Dad.
No further comment on that.
My Drs. tell me that I can start getting out so get ready for the Connor Leo world tour, I'll be adding a little class and cuteness to houses and restaurants near you soon.
Christmas is almost here and I'm going to NY to meet my cousins Cameron, Ashton and Maddie, I can't wait. I know Maddie and I will have a lot to talk about.

Anyway - gotta run, I have a little surprise waiting for Mom if you know what I mean ;-)

Hugs - Connor

Gobble Gobble...waahhh!

Ah, the sounds of Thanksgiving.
Grama and Grampa Mark came to meet me last week (and keep and eye on Mom and Dad).
We all had a nice time and it really was great to spend our first Thanksgiving together.
In the spirit of Thanksgiving I have discovered that eating is a very, very good thing. I enjoy it so much I'm doing it about every two hours (kinda like Dad).
Last night me and Dad watched a Bruins game, and Mom noticed that throughout the game Dad did more screaming, whining and crying than I did.
Tonight we'll watch the Patriots game, looking forward to seeing this Brady guy. More than a couple people have commented that he and I share a chin.
Dad's hoping we share the athletic ability and that I'll bring home a supermodel or two someday.
I'm going to go rest up, gotta big day of looking cute ahead of me.
Love, Connor

I just couldn't wait any longer...

Whew, what a week.
Let me start by saying hello, officially from the "outside".
6 more weeks was just too long to wait as I felt Dad was misrepresenting me in my blog. So, Dad I'm going to take it from here.
At about 11:30 last Tuesday the 12th, I gave Mom a swift kick and well, we were off.
Mom was composed, packed a bag with clothes and Dad the nitwit, grabbed a bag and put basically nothing in it other than his cameras and his phone.
Anyway, since I was still upside down, the Drs had to perform a c-section and at 2:48 am, I made my grand entrance.
I weighed in at an economical 5 pounds 4 ounces and 18 inches -good size given my impatience.
I want to thank Mom for being such a trooper. The picture of composure, she handled the blessed event, even with its suddenness and uncertainly, with amazing strength and grace.
Once out, they poked and prodded but found me to be a remarkably healthy and strong "premi". For the record, I don't view myself as "premi" at all, my good looks and intellect simply outgrew the womb.
So, I'm home now and getting ready to eat so I'm going to go now, but Dad's got a bunch of pictures and some video he'll be posting up here over the next few days, so come back soon.

Looking forward to meeting you all soon.

Love,
Connor Leo

Boo!

Boo!
So, my first Halloween costume...what do you think?
I went as baked goods - a bun to be specific. Mom of course serving as the oven.
How clever. I can only imagine what "cute" (right, embarrassing) getup they'll have ready for me next year...ugh.
Anyway, some news.
I have decided that it might be fun to keep Mom and Dad guessing as to when I might turn over. After listening in to some of the videos played in the birthing class we all went to last week, I'm thinking maybe hanging out in here is not such a bad plan. Birth seems like a lot of work.
Good to see the Sox won again but jeez, here's hoping they don't make me wait until I'm 86 to see one!
Ok, back to "cookin", its getting really cramped in here and I'm looking forward to getting some air and not swimming in my own pee!
Talk to you soon - love, "The Bun"
